gele ogen

gele ogen
jaundice [n] yellowing of the skin and the whites of the eyes caused by an accumulation of bile pigment (bilirubin) in the blood; can be a symptom of gallstones or liver infection or anemia.
in Nederlands:galzucht, geelzucht
~~~~
Jaundice, also referred to as icterus, describes the yellow color taken on by the tissues throughout the body due to elevated levels of bilirubin, a substance that comes from the breakdown of red blood cells.
~~~
Regardless of the cause, jaundice is considered abnormal in the dog. Jaundice is recognized by a yellow color to the animal's skin. It is often more apparent in the whites of the eyes, in the skin at the base of the ears, along the gums, and in the skin of the abdomen.
What to Watch For
Yellow color to gums, whites of the eyes, skin
Lethargy
Loss of appetite, weight loss and loss of body condition
Difficulty breathing
Vomiting, diarrhea
Abdominal distension
Excessive drinking and urinating

Naar de da gaan!
Dit kan zeer zeker op leverproblemen wijzen.

Sterkte.
Laat even weten hoe het gaat.

Laat het even weten, OK?
